Philadelphia Trip Mtg. Minutes

Attendance:  Wendy, Catherine, Hope, Caroljean, Gretchen Bradley, Susan Morgan, Samantha Baker, Mary Welch, Sarah Kennett, Melissa LaRoche

 

Treasurer Update:

*Over $28,000 has been raised to date for the trip, this takes in  account $$ on all students individual accounts as well as $5700 in the general fund.

*Next deposit date is 2/14 of $100 (this includes money taken in from the gas card raffle too) All individuals with their accts. Up to date will be entered into drawing to have the remainder of their students trip paid for! Drawing will be 3/7 at our mthly. Meeting.

*Catherine will be in twice weekly to pick up any money turned in to Mr. Richard for gas card tickets & snack cart $.

 *Final money due in March … date to be announced.

Gas Card Raffle:

*Gas card raffle tickets are in packets of 5, they maybe signed out before school and after school with Mr. Richard.  All money is to be turned into Mr. Richard.  Winners choice of which gas station for the giftcard.

*Raffle tickets are in individual envelopes, and stubs and $ should be turned back in, in this envelope.  All envelopes will be logged out through Mr. Richard or Mrs. Williams.

*Raffle is open to both 7 & 8 grades, with first 3 tickets sold($5 each) going to the general fund, and all remaining tickets going directly into your students account.  Raffle time frame is 2/1 – 3/2. All $ and un-used raffle tickets must be turned back in by Friday 3/2. Mandy is in charge, a_mcdonald@sau9.org

Snack Cart:

*We need two volunteers for 2/7 & 2/8, 2/14  and 3/6.  Please email Hope @ hknus3@gmail.com if you are able to help out.  We also need donations of Medium size Gatorades, airheads, cowtails, blow and tootsie pops and baked goods, packaged in large portions as they are .50 each.  This is a quick & easy to help out, especially if you are picking up your student anyway, your help for 20 – 25 min. would be most appreciated! : )

March Fundraising:

 *Little Caesars Pizza & Cookie dough campaign – 3/1 – 3/30, Samantha Baker is in charge sambaker43@adelphia.net with any questions or if you can help out with delivery day.

*Candy Grams for St. Patricks Day – Melissa LaRoche

*Car Wash – pick a weekend to have kids help out drying off cars at the local car wash in North Conway.

*Breakfast at Applebees, will need student volunteers & parent helpers – Hope is in charge email her at hknus3@gmail.com

 *Letter to Editor and drive time radio show will spotlight the trip to Philadelphia as well as update the community on our fundraising efforts etc.

Miscellaneous:

*Mr. Richard will have an assembly with the 8th grade after Feb. vacation to highlight the trip to Philadelphia and start to generate excitement.

*Shortly after assembly students will be asked to pick partners for the trip and room assignments will be made by April vacation.

*Barn Door Screen Printers has generously offered free t-shirts to every student going on the trip, we will be having a design contest open to entire 8th grade.  T-shirts will all be one very bright color!
